Organizations, associations, civic and social groups are invited to partner with Habitat to provide volunteers for team builds and ReStore projects. Participation in our team activities provide a shared service experience that allows your members to engage in the Habitat mission.
With a group of 10 – 15 volunteers, and a donation of $5,000, Team Builders experience a day of service planned specifically for their group. Your financial contribution helps with the cost of building affordable homes. Team Builders is a very popular program and can take several months to schedule. To become a Loudoun Habitat Team Builders partner, contact Kari Murphy, Habitat Development Manager.
Habitat’s Team Builders program provides an opportunity for groups to participate in a hands-on team building session for employees while supporting the mission and work of Loudoun Habitat for Humanity. On the build site, volunteers work with our construction staff and partner families at various phases of construction for new construction and renovation. Activities range from framing and landscaping to flooring and painting. In addition to making a valuable contribution toward the home building goals of the affiliate, construction volunteers have fun and engage with Habitat communities through this enriching experience. Teams work together on-site to build interpersonal communication skills and confidence while contributing efforts towards building a home for a deserving family.
ReStore Team Builders
Another team build option is a ReStore team build. Groups of 15 or less can come in after store hours during the week or on a Sunday to work on a variety of projects including painting, building, remodeling, and stocking inventory. There is no donation required for a ReStore team build and your efforts help Habitat keep prices low in the ReStore which means more money to help build homes. Contact the store manager to learn more.
Community Outreach Events
Habitat participates in many community outreach events throughout the year to support community groups. We encourage you to reach out to Habitat with information on these events so we can actively participate as an exhibitor. We can also provide promotion on our community service page of this website – just send an email to our Community Outreach coordinator.
